Questions about this product
Does it power the cameras?
Yes, up to 8 of them. Its 8 built-in PoE ports give each camera power and a connection over one cable; cameras beyond 8 need a separate PoE switch.
Are hard drives included?
No. It takes two SATA drives up to 24 TB each, hot-swappable, bought separately.
How many cameras get AI?
Its onboard AI analyses up to 12 third-party ONVIF cameras for people, pets, vehicles and line crossing1. Turning that AI on also lowers how many streams the recorder can decode for live view and playback, by Ajax's figures: at 4K (3840 × 2160) from 4 to 2 channels.
