Quick Answer
What does a commercial bar or restaurant AV installation include?
A professional bar or restaurant AV installation includes multi-zone commercial audio (Klipsch commercial speakers with Integra DSP amplification, each zone tuned independently), commercial-grade displays with AV Pro Edge 4K zero-loss video distribution, and Control4 scene control so staff runs music, TVs, and lighting from a single tap. In the South Sound, Rivas Technology Group — a Control4 Gold Dealer based in Kent, WA — designs, installs, and supports complete venue systems in-house with no subcontractors. Focused audio installs typically start around $5,000–$10,000; full multi-zone builds with video distribution generally run $20,000–$60,000+.

Game Day, Dinner Rush, Live Music — One Tap Handles It

Your AV should follow your service flow, not fight it. We engineer audio, video, and control as one system your busiest bartender can run.

Audio Every Seat Can Hear

Multi-zone Klipsch commercial audio with Integra DSP amplification — even coverage, no dead corners, no blasting the bar to reach the patio.

  • Every space its own zone — bar, dining, patio, restrooms, kitchen pass
  • Per-zone EQ and volume, DSP-tuned to each room’s acoustics
  • Horn-loaded speakers stay clean and intelligible at full-room volume
  • Weatherproof Klipsch outdoor commercial speakers for PNW patios

Every Screen, Every Game

Commercial displays with AV Pro Edge zero-loss 4K distribution — any source to any screen, switched in seconds from behind the bar.

  • Multiviewer routes cable, streaming, signage, or cameras to any screen
  • 4K HDR distribution with zero compression loss over structured cabling
  • Commercial Samsung, LG & NEC panels rated for 16–18 hour days
  • Video walls and 100"+ formats for feature walls

One Tap Runs the Room

Control4 scene control ties it together: "Open," "Game Day," "Happy Hour," "Close" — audio, video, and lighting change together, instantly.

  • Preset scenes for every daypart your venue runs
  • Wall keypad, iPad, or app — any trained staff member can run it
  • Lighting, audio, and TVs move as one
  • Ajax security arms automatically on the Close scene

Consumer Gear vs. a Commercial AV System

Consumer speakers and TVs weren’t built for a 12-hour service day — and it shows within the first year.

Your AV Shouldn't Be Another Thing Your Staff Has to Fight

Dead zones in the dining room. A bartender pulling up YouTube on their phone because the music app crashed. TVs that can't show the game on every screen. We've seen it all — and we fix it.

Dead Zones & Uneven Volume

One end of the bar is too loud, the patio can't hear anything, and the dining room sounds like a different venue. Customers notice.

→ Multi-zone audio with per-zone DSP tuning via Integra amplifiers

Can't Show Multiple Sources

Four screens but one cable box. Half the bar is watching the wrong game, and you can't split the feed without dropping quality.

→ AV Pro Edge Multiviewer distributes any source to any screen simultaneously

Too Many Apps, Too Much Chaos

Music on one app, TVs on a remote, lights on another app — and your opener has to remember the order every single shift.

→ Control4 scenes: one tap runs Open, Game Day, Happy Hour, or Close

Patio Audio That Quits

Consumer speakers weren't built for the Pacific Northwest. A season or two outside and you're replacing them.

→ Klipsch commercial outdoor speakers rated for weather, volume, and longevity

Distorted Sound at Volume

Fine at background levels, blown out when the room fills up. You either run it too quiet or deal with distortion all night.

→ Klipsch horn-loaded speakers deliver high output cleanly — made for loud rooms

No One to Call When It Breaks

The installer is gone, the manual is lost, and your service window is Saturday night. You need a local integrator.

→ Rivas Technology Group is South Sound local — we service what we install

A Demo Space That Had to Perform Every Time a Client Walked In

Food & Beverage Facility — Kent, WA

A South Sound food and beverage company was building out a commercial culinary event space from the ground up. The space needed to host industry events, live cooking demonstrations, and client showcases simultaneously — every screen showing the right content to the right audience, every zone sounding right without bleeding into the next, and the whole system operable by a single person running an event.

We designed and installed every piece of AV and control infrastructure from raw shell — structured Cat6 cabling, a pendant-speaker multi-zone audio system with Episode amplification, a 2×2 Samsung commercial video wall with independent and grouped display zones, two kitchen-line demonstration displays, and Control4 automation with Araknis networking and WattBox power management — built into a clean, service-accessible wall rack.

The day of their first client event, the system ran without a single technical issue. Staff controlled every screen and zone from one interface. That's what it's supposed to feel like.

Bar & Restaurant AV FAQs

How much does a bar or restaurant AV system cost in the South Sound?

It depends on venue size, number of zones, and scope. A focused multi-zone audio install for a small bar typically starts around $5,000–$10,000 installed. A full build with commercial displays, AV Pro Edge video distribution, Klipsch speakers, Integra DSP, patio audio, and Control4 scene automation in a mid-size venue generally runs $20,000–$60,000+. We provide a detailed estimate after an on-site assessment.

Can you show different games on different TVs at the same time?

Yes — this is exactly what AV Pro Edge Multiviewer systems are built for. Any source — multiple cable boxes, streaming devices, sports packages, signage — routes to any combination of screens. The bar sees one game, the dining room another, the patio highlights. All controllable from a Control4 interface or wall keypad.

What speakers do you recommend for a loud bar environment?

Klipsch commercial speakers. Horn-loaded driver technology delivers high output at lower power draw, so the system stays clean and intelligible when the room is full and loud. Paired with Integra DSP amplifiers, we tune each zone individually so the patio doesn’t sound like the bar.

What is Control4 and why would a bar or restaurant need it?

Control4 is an automation platform that connects AV, lighting, and security into one interface. The practical value is scene control: an "Open" scene starts music, activates TVs, and sets lighting; "Game Day" switches every screen to sports and bumps volume; "Close" shuts everything down and arms your Ajax security system.

Can you install around our operating hours without closing the venue?

Yes. We schedule cabling, mounting, and commissioning around your service hours — early mornings, off-days, or phased visits — so your venue keeps running. We confirm the full schedule before any work begins.

Do you provide ongoing support after installation?

Yes. Every system can be enrolled in CURATOR, our remote care plan — proactive monitoring, unlimited remote support during business hours, and priority on-site scheduling. Because we install and program the system ourselves, support comes from the same team that built it.

Do you install outdoor patio AV systems in the South Sound?
Yes. We design and install weatherproof outdoor audio and display systems for covered patios, rooftop decks, and exterior dining areas throughout Tacoma, Puyallup, Gig Harbor, and the greater South Sound. Klipsch outdoor commercial speakers are rated for Pacific Northwest conditions and deliver the same performance outside as inside.
Can you route security cameras to the bar displays?
Yes. Using AV Pro Edge video distribution and Control4, security camera feeds route to any display in the venue — check the back door, walk-in, or loading dock from behind the bar without pulling out a phone. We also install Ajax security and can build surveillance and AV as one integrated project.
How long does a bar or restaurant AV installation take?
Most installs take three to ten working days on site, depending on venue size, zone count, and whether cabling runs before or after walls are closed. A focused audio refresh can be done in a day or two. We provide a project timeline with your proposal so you know exactly what to expect.
