What was the problem?
A law firm cannot run on a network it cannot trust, and South Sound Law Group had been running on one for years. The network carries privileged client files, case management and every exchange with the court and opposing counsel, and it kept letting the attorneys down. There was Wi-Fi that dropped mid-task, slowdowns nobody could explain, and a provider whose support tickets closed without the problem going away. The deeper issue was that nobody fully understood what was installed, so every fix was a guess laid on top of the last one.
What did we design?
A replacement, not a repair. The old network had no map, so we rebuilt it from the router out on UniFi Enterprise. That means enterprise routing at the core and business-grade Wi-Fi engineered for full coverage of every office and conference room. It also means a clean, documented configuration in which every device has a reason to be there. Client data stays segmented from everything else. Cloud remote support was part of the design from day one, so the people who built the network are the people watching it.
What did we install?
UniFi Enterprise routing at the core. Business access points placed for the floor plan so signal is consistent in every office and conference room. A network configuration written down and kept current. The rack was built, labeled and documented so the next person to open it, ours or anyone else's, knows what they are looking at. Cloud remote management gives us visibility into the network without a site visit. What changed for the firm?
The slowdowns ended with the rebuild. Wi-Fi reaches every office and conference room, and the network is documented and secure. Support comes from the team that engineered it, people who answer the phone already knowing what is installed. When something needs attention we are usually looking at it before the firm calls, and the former provider never had to be called again.
Where is this project?
In the South Sound, in the area we serve from our office at 415 Railroad Ave S in Kent. That is south King County and Pierce County, with the Olympic Peninsula by appointment. What drives the cost of a project like this?
Head count, floor plan and what has to be segmented. A ten-person office on one floor needs a router, a switch and two or three access points. A two-floor practice with a server room, guest Wi-Fi and phones needs more of each and a larger rack. Cabling to access points across a finished ceiling costs more than cabling along an open one. Cloud remote management and the CURATOR care plan are monthly and optional. What was wrong with the old network?
Intermittent Wi-Fi, unexplained slowdowns and a provider that patched symptoms. Attorneys were interrupted mid-work, and privileged client files rode on infrastructure nobody fully understood or had documented.
Why replace instead of repair?
Because years of patches had produced a network with no map. A clean UniFi Enterprise build, documented from the router out, is faster to install than to reverse-engineer, and every device on it has a reason to be there.
How is client data protected?
The network is segmented so client files and case management sit apart from guest and general traffic, with a configuration that is written down and reviewed. Segmentation is a design decision, not a setting someone flipped.

We see what the firm sees. When something needs attention we are already looking at the network, with no ticket queue and no waiting for a truck. Most issues are resolved before a site visit is needed.
