Project: Ajax home security
A Woodinville home,
one Ajax system for the alarm and the cameras
A private home in Woodinville, WA, covered at the perimeter and through the house by one Ajax system. DoorProtect sensors on the doors, a KeyPad Plus to arm and disarm, four 8MP turret cameras outside and a video doorbell at the front door.
Rivas Technology Group installed an Ajax intrusion and video surveillance system in a Woodinville, WA home. Ajax DoorProtect sensors guard the entry doors, an Ajax KeyPad Plus arms and disarms the system, and four 8MP Ajax turret cameras and an Ajax video doorbell cover the outside of the house.

What did the owner want?
Intrusion and video surveillance in one system, covering the perimeter and the whole home. Doors that report when they open, one keypad to arm and disarm, cameras on the outside of the house and a doorbell that shows who is at the front door. Our own team designed and installed it on Ajax.
What did we install?
Ajax DoorProtect sensors on the entry doors, an Ajax KeyPad Plus, four 8MP Ajax turret cameras and one Ajax video doorbell. Each DoorProtect tells the alarm when its door opens. The KeyPad Plus arms and disarms the system with a code or a card.

How do the alarm and the cameras work together?
The alarm decides that something is happening, and the cameras show what it is. They are layers of one system, not alternatives. Here the four turret cameras watch the outside of the house and the doorbell covers the front door, while the door sensors and keypad run the alarm inside.
The 8MP turret camera tells people and vehicles apart and powers over one Ethernet cable. The Ajax DoorBell lets the owner see and talk to whoever is at the door, in the same app as the alarm.

Where is this project?
A private home in Woodinville, WA. The owner is not named, and the photos leave out anything that would place the house.
What drives the cost of a project like this?
The number of doors that need a sensor, the number of cameras and where they mount, and the cable runs to each camera. Monitoring is a separate choice. The Ajax cost page shows what an installed alarm runs, and the security cameras page covers cameras by count.

Questions we hear
What did this Woodinville home get?
One Ajax system for intrusion and video. DoorProtect sensors on the entry doors, a KeyPad Plus by the door, four 8MP turret cameras on the outside walls and a video doorbell at the front door.
Why put the alarm and the cameras on one system?
Because they do different jobs. The alarm decides that something is happening; the cameras show what it is. With both on Ajax, the doorbell and the cameras sit in the same app as the alarm, so there is one place to look.
How do you arm and disarm it?
At the KeyPad Plus, with a code or a card, or from the Ajax app on a phone.
Can I buy the same devices?
Yes. The DoorProtect, KeyPad Plus, 8MP turret camera and Ajax DoorBell are in our store. In the South Sound we also design and install the whole system.
Would this work for my house?
If you want doors, the inside of the house and the outside covered by one system, yes. The count of doors and cameras changes from house to house; the home security page explains how we lay one out.
