What goes in first in a Puyallup home?
Security, before the keypads. That means an Ajax hub, sensors on doors and windows, and MotionCam detectors, which deliver the first photo within 9 seconds1. Cameras on the driveway and the back gate and a video doorbell go in with them. Control4 reacts to the alarm state from there. A two-story South Hill house with an attached garage sometimes needs a range extender so the garage door sensor stays in touch. Where in Puyallup do we install?

Canyon Road is the newer construction, pre-wired at framing and programmed before move-in. Downtown along Meridian and Pioneer, and the streets of East Puyallup, are established 1950s to 1980s homes. There the Control4 dimmers, Ajax sensors and rechargeable shades are wireless and no wall gets opened.

We survey the house and run Cat6A to one wired access point per floor, with the Island Router, a wired, subscription-free router3, as the gateway. Ruckus or Alta Labs access points sit on top of it. Theater, audio and shades
South Hill bonus rooms turn into media rooms: calibrated speakers, a display sized to the seating distance, and one button to start it. On Canyon Road the framing stage puts speaker cable in every room and out to the patio, so music zones inside and out are ready when the equipment is. Shades share a schedule with the lights. What drives the cost in Puyallup?

Why does Wi-Fi drop upstairs in a South Hill house?
Two floors, a garage and a router in the wrong corner. Multi-story South Hill homes need a wired access point per floor, placed after a site survey, not another mesh kit. That fixes the dead zones permanently.
Do you pre-wire new construction on Canyon Road?
Yes. We coordinate with the builder at framing for Cat6A, speaker cable and conduit, verify every run before drywall, and return at trim to install and program. Cable pulled at framing costs far less than cable fished later.
Can you service a smart home system someone else installed in Puyallup?
